Gwangcheon-Dong, Mr.Kim

Gwangju holds a significant place in Korea's history as a bastion of democracy. "Gwangcheon-dong, Mr. Kim" is a feature-length film crafted by Kim Hwan-gyung, a burgeoning media artist. Kim immerses himself in the everyday life of Gwangcheon-dong, a representative slum area. Through intimate conversations with residents, the film delves into the experiences of early urban poverty, the genesis of the Gwangju democracy movement, and apprehensions regarding swift urban redevelopment. Unfortunately, Gwangcheon-dong faces imminent demolition, slated to vanish entirely by 2024.

"The Palate of the City: Busan," a collaboration with the global documentary History Channel, offers a foreign perspective on Busan's culinary delights. Consisting of four 25-minute episodes, the series showcases the city's gourmet cuisine through the eyes of a foreign host. From street food toast to bibim dangmyeon, seafood, snow conger eel, Korean beef, and dessert & coffee, the videos capture the vibrant diversity of Busan's food scene.

MAGNUM PHOTOS IN SHINAN

Magnum Photos is a group of photographers dedicated to capturing global events, individuals, landscapes, daily routines, and cultural phenomena. The "Magnum in Shinan" project comprises a collection of six 50-minute documentaries. In each episode, a different photographer travels to Shinan County, endeavoring to portray the allure of its various islands and their inhabitants. Mark Power, Bruce Gilden, Jonas Bendiksen, Lua Ribeira, Newsha Tavakolian, and Alex Majoli have each visited Shinan, sharing the narratives behind their photographic endeavors in the region.

"Remember ME" is a documentary series spanning four episodes running for 30 minutes., each focusing on the plight of endangered animals: the Skywalker gibbon, crested ibis, snow leopard, and pangolin. Through poignant storytelling, it sheds light on the challenges these creatures face and the dedicated efforts of biologists, scientists, and other experts working tirelessly to safeguard their existence.
